Welcome to Buckden Praise!

A collection of Gospel/Worship songs and Poems
all written & composed by Chris Bylett,
Authorised Lay Music Minister and Worship Leader
at St.Mary’s, the Parish Church of Buckden, Cambs.

Tigger Tambo 3

Chris has been a professional entertainer for over 40 years
and although he is mainly known in ‘the Biz’ as a
Ventriloquist and Magician, his first love has always been
his singing. On moving to Buckden in 2006 he became
involved in the life of the Parish Church and its music.
In 2011 he was authorised as a Lay Music Minister
in the Ely Diocese and now spends a lot of his time
running an informal Gospel Choir (‘Angel Voices’)
at the Church and writing songs for the choir.

Tigger Note 2

All of these songs are written in simple melody-line format
(some of them with an, optional, added Alto line)
and in what is hoped to be ‘singable’ keys. The suggested
guitar accompaniment is also written in what is considered to
be the easiest chord formation which, in some cases involves
use of a capo [ie: a song in the key of F, is chorded in the
key of E (+1) and a song in C is usually chorded in A (+3)]

Guitar in action!

Here it is then: Christian Worship Music, Gospel Songs, Gospel Folk Music
Easy-Play Gospel Songs, Praise Songs, whatever you want to call it, it is all
written to be sung and played, and to worship the Lord …. Halleluja!!

Tigger music 2

Just in case you’re wondering …. Chris acquired the
nickname ‘Tigger’ whilst on his ALM training course!!
